Naturaleza Muerta / Still life

Naturaleza muerta, realizada en una amplia gama de colores tierra.
Conservo esta pintura con mucho cariño, porque como no tenía el dinero para comprar la tela para pintar, lo hice sobre un cartón. La idea es no dejar que las limitaciones nos paren, tenemos que seguir motivandonos y haciendo lo que realmente amamos.

Still Life, held in a wide range of earth colors.
I keep this painting with great care, because I did not have the money to buy fabric paint, canvas, so I did it on cardboard. The idea is to not let limitations stop us, we have to keep motivating us and doing what we really love.

Teoría de la relatividad de Einstein / Einstein's theory of relativity

Técnica Dibujo a tinta china.
Este es un boceto que probablemente termine siendo grabado cuando encuentre un taller en donde hacerlo.
La idea principal es reflejar parte del dolor que causan los políticos y corporaciones, encargados de mover las fichas del tablero de ajedrez de nuestras vidas, decidiendo las estúpidas guerras, jugando así con el dolor de la gente. Generando violencia, desnutrición y familias y pueblos enteros destruidos.
Por eso dibuje a Einstein agarrándose la cabeza de solo pensar en qué termino toda su teoría de la relatividad.

This is a sketch that is likely to be recorded when you find a workshop in which to do so.
The main idea is to reflect some of the pain caused by politicians and corporations, responsible for moving the chess pieces on the board of our lives, deciding the stupid wars, playing well with the pain of the people. Generating violence, malnutrition and families and entire villages destroyed.
So draw a holding Einstein's head just thinking about what ended his theory of relativity.

Prohibido hacer Guerra/ No War

Cuando mi hijo me invito a hacer la exposición junto con él en el Gato Negro , se me ocurrió preparar este cartel de "Prohibido hacer Guerra", que me parece debería estar en todo el mundo.
Creo que no hay más que explicar.

When my son invited me to make the exhibition together with him at the Black Cat Pub, I came prepared this lineup of "No to War", which I think should be all over the world.
I think there is no more to explain.

Peras/Pears

Siempre me gustaron las frutas como modelo para pintar, por sus formas tan atrayentes y colores y por ser una de las mas hermosas expresiones de lo que la naturaleza nos da. En este caso para representarlas, elegí un estilo country, que ví en una galeria de arte en un viaje que hice a Seattle que me encantó.

Technique: Painting acríica, pencils, pens, indelible ink and bitumen on wood veneer.

I always liked the fruit as a model for paint, so attractive forms and colors and for being one of the most beautiful expressions of what nature gives us. In this case, to represent them, I chose a country style, I saw in an art gallery on my trip to Seattle that I loved.

Frutas y Vegetación./Fruits and Vegetables.

Cuando era chica, mucho tiempo atrás viví un tiempo en el campo con mis abuelos paternos. Desde entonces me maravilló ver como mi abuela hacia la quinta y con el paso del tiempo, apreciar cómo una simple y pequeña semilla plantada en la tierra se convertía en un espectáculo de hojas, flores y frutos y todo provenía dentro de esa diminuta partícula.
Este es un simple homenaje a esos días de sol, de tierra, colores y felicidad.
Y ya que hablamos de felicidad, este cuadro fue uno de los que estuvo también, en la exposición que hice junto a mi hijo mayor en "El Gato Negro", en Argentina.


As a child, long ago lived a while in the field with my paternal grandparents. Since then, I marveled to see how my grandmother into the herbs garden and over time, see how a simple little seed planted in the ground became a show of leaves, flowers and fruits and all came within the tiny particle.
This is a simple tribute to those days of sun, earth, colors and happiness.
And speaking of happiness, this scenario was one that was also in the exhibition I did with my eldest son in "The Black Cat" in Argentina,

Esta foto la saqué cuando estaba viviendo sola en Coquitlam, con mi hijo menor. Recuerdo que en esa época estaba buscando trabajo y no conseguía nada. Tiempos difíciles si los hubo, fueron aquellos. Llegué de la calle y me fui a preparar unos mates, cuando de repente me vi reflejada en la tapa de la olla que iba a usar para hacer la cena y pensé; "este es mi universo de todos los días y no lo veo por tener mi cabeza puesta sólo en preocupaciones". Tomé la foto y la trabajé con fotoshop, porque mas allá de la oblagación de salir a buscar trabajo en una verdadera jungla de cemento, yo ya tenia un hermoso universo. Si observan con detenimiento las mariposas que salen desde mi mano van volando hasta uno de mis cuadros que salio reflejado en el fondo y que estuvo expuesto en ArtPoint Gallery, en Calgary, en la primer exposición que hice al poco tiempo de llegar a Canadá.

This picture was taken when I was living alone in Coquitlam, with my youngest son. I remember at that time was looking for work and got nothing; those were hard times. I came inside from the street and went to prepare some mates, when suddenly I saw myself reflected in the top of the pot that would be used to make dinner and thought, "This is my universe every day and do not see it having just put my head in worry. " Take a picture and work with photoshop, because beyond the obligation to go to Job Search in a real concrete jungle, I already had a Hermes universe. If you look closely at the butterflies emerging from my hands go flying up one of my paintings that is reflected in the background.That was exposed in ArtPoint Gallery, Calgary, the first exhibition which I did soon after arriving at Canada.
