A bunch of great people from all over the World, (Iceland, Poland, Britain, Canada, and I from Argentina), joined Matt Parisien, the guy holding a roller between his hands, and who was in charge to teach Screenprint at Malaspina Printmakers.
Un montón de gente estupenda de todas partes del mundo, (Islandia, Polonia, Gran Bretaña, Canadá, y yo, de Argentina), nos unimos a Matt Parisien, el chico que sostiene un rodillo entre sus manos, y que fue el encargado de enseñar Serigrafía en Malaspina Printmakers.
We explored the basics of screenprint, which is a process derived from stencil printing, including the direct stencil methods, photographic based screen printing techniques- inks and modifiers. But, most of the time, we worked with water-based ink.
Exploramos los fundamentos de la serigrafía, que es un proceso derivado de la impresión de esténciles, incluyendo los métodos directos de esténciles, la serigrafía basada técnicas de impresión fotográfica, tintas y modificadores. Screenprint works very well for photo-based, hand drawn (my favorite), or computer manipulated images: Photoshop, something I must learn in the future.
