Screenprint at Malaspina Printmakers.

Screenprint

A bunch of great people from all over the World, (Iceland, Poland, Britain, Canada, and I from Argentina), joined Matt Parisien, the guy holding a roller between his hands, and who was in charge to teach Screenprint at Malaspina Printmakers.

We explored the basics of screenprint, which is a process derived from stencil printing, including the direct stencil methods, photographic based screen printing techniques- inks and modifiers. But,  most of the time, we worked with water-based ink.

Screenprint works very well for photo-based, hand drawn (my favorite), or computer manipulated images: Photoshop, something I must learn in the future.

About Me

My photo
Patricia
I have been creating artwork since I was a child old enough to hold a pencil, and I also love to write. My artwork has evolved over the years reflecting who I am and what I want to say, especially since the time when, I moved to Canada in 2005. Inspired by the spiritual, metaphysical and subconscious human mind, I use a range of media. A favorite of mine are soft pastels on Ingres, acrylics, in paintings. I am really happy when I am making engravings. In Canada I lived in Winnipeg, during 2005 for almost one year, in which time I did some engravings and Art courses when I was a member of Martha Studio Art Gallery. When I moved to Calgary, 2006 - 2007 I participated to 3rd Annual Unseen Art at ArtPoint Gallery and Studios. I have been a volunteer as an Art Teacher and Spanish Teacher at Queen Elizabeth High School. In Argentina, I participated in many Art Exhibitions and received many special Mentions.
